Awesome bat. Abe player
Pros: Got my 2015 Velo yesterday, and went to the cages today. So far, I absolutely love this bat. You will definitely know when you hit it on the sweet spot. PING!!!! I ordered the balanced 33 inch Velo. It's a yes from me!!!
Cons: It's really loud when hitting dingers :-)
Coach Smith Scott Smith coach
Pros: The bat is well balanced with a lot of pop! My son started using VELO 2 years ago and every season, the VELO quickly becomes the "team" bat replacing all others. The expanded sweet spot is ideal for all hitters including those hitting for average as well as power. It's the perfect combination of balance, durability and pop!
Cons: None as of yet, swinging VELO for 2 years now.
own bat becomes teams Jacob Crosby parent
Pros: Awesome bat can't ask for much bat from Rawlings the velo is a smokeing hot bat so my guess for u is to get one BC I have one
Cons: None
velo baseball player
Pros: very light swing and a ton of pop.
Cons: its really loud off the batt so it gets annoying in the cages
Power And Pop King Kong parent
Pros: This bat is great for power and contact hitters. You have to see it in action for yourself. Great balance and swing speed. Faster than the Mako Torq. Great sound. Flat out nasty. The bat of choice for my sons high school team. I think a lot of Easton bats will start collecting dust, sitting in bags and the trunk. The pop is an A++
Cons: none
Loud, Awesome Bat Goonsquad player
Pros: Probably the most balanced bat I've ever felt. Has a loud ping that can be heard by everyone, and feels great in the hands. Definitely the best one piece bat on the market right now.
Cons: More vibration than two piece bats, but that doesn't bother me.
D1 Johnny Baseball player
Pros: Unreal. So balanced that if you hit off the tee right away, you'll hit under the ball because you're so used to the other bat that you've been using. You get used to it and its not a problem after the 2nd swing, and after that you're disgracing pitchers families dropping dingers. You get your hands around so fast. I've used the new Easton S3z, Voodoo, Mako, and Omaha. This bat never goes dead, unlike the Voodoo. The only thing that comes close to the velo is the 5150.
Cons: Why is there even a Cons option for the review on this bat..?
Rawlings Velo Anthony player
Pros: - Tons of pop - The handle feels great - No vibration - Easy to swing This bat is absolutely everything you could ask for in a bat. It has tons and tons of pop and that awesome PING noise is still there so you definitely know when you've hit something solid. It's perfect for all hitters, contact, power, line drive guys, etc. It will work for anyone. Really a review doesn't do this bat justice you've got to get one for yourself! I love it!
Cons: None at all besides on vibration which is because when you hit it off the end or on the hands it hurts. But of course that is only because it's a one piece bat. So, that will happen with any one piece bat you get.
Player PK player
Pros: Balanced, pop, fast in the zone. I love this bat!
Cons: Might have some durability issues another player on my team had to send his back after 3 weeks. Mine seem to be ok so far
2015 Velo James player
Pros: I usually don't hype up bats but this one is worth all the hype. I'd even be willing to say this is Rawlings best bat yet. It has a ton of pop, a very comfortable grip, and most importantly is extremely balanced. This bat is for any kind of player, one looking to speed up his hands, line drive hitter, power hitter, contact hitter, doesn't matter. I've used it in the cages and I love it. Must have for 2015.
Cons: none.
Great bat Bobby player

velo david player
Pros: Good pop
Cons: Grip is already coming apart after 2weeks
This Bat is Amazing Matt player
Pros: Looks amazing out of the box and just in general. I am a 15 year old 5 ft. 10 160 lbs that usually is able to hit the ball about 280-300 feet. In my 4th at bat with the bat i hit a 305 foot shot to the fence on my high school field. The ball doesn't even feel like it is hitting anything when it touches the bat. It pings right off and hits the ball harder than any other bat that I have used. It has no vibration when you get jammed or when you hit it off the end. I am looking forward to using this bat more and more. It is definitely worth the buy.
Cons: None really. Kind of loud and everyone wants to use it.
Team Velo! Brian coach
Pros: Was using an end loaded bat, and was skeptical about a balanced bat. But ball jumps off bat. Solid contact is rewarded. Very "light" feel. Can keep high swing speed.
Cons: Everyone wants to use this bat.
Rawlings Velo Kenny player
Pros: This bat definitely has the best pop out of any bbcor bat you will find. It is extremely balanced, and will work for any hitter. Awesome bat!
Cons: The only con to this bat would be the sting you get if you hit the ball off the handle. But, that can be fixed by simply squaring the ball up!
2015 bbcor rawlings velo wade carter player
Pros: very good and reliable bat,
Cons: could stop vibration better
Amazing john player
Pros: I got this bat for high school baseball and i haven't touched another bat since. the pop on this bat is amazing, in my first game i hit two balls 360 feet or farther.
Cons: everyone wants to use it
Great bat. CM3Dad parent
Pros: Son is moving on to 13U and bbcor bats. He has swung other bbcor bats but none had the pop or feel of the Velo. Bat doesn't feel like it weighs 28 oz.
Cons: None
Kent Murphy Hits Dingers With This Bat!!!! Lefty player
Pros: Great Bat. Just got this to replace my old Velo.
Cons: none
rawlings velo balanced -3 Ben Ladnèr player
Pros: really good feel to the bat. pop is awesome. ball really takes off when you barrel it
Cons: only negative is that the bat is really loud. indoor cage work can get tricky during the winter from the constant ringing
Great Bat! David Ortiz player
Pros: Insane pop, if yoy get it on the sweetspot the ball explodes!
Cons: The vibration is ok
Perfect Bat Kewak #4 player
Pros: Great Pop, LOUD!! Looks amazing. It doesnt have cheap grip like most bats come with.
Cons: Everyone wants to use it. it catches everyone's eye.
First Velo. Very Impressed Kirk J. parent
Pros: Great pop. Very well weighted for a fast solid swing. This was my son's first Velo (he swung another player's on his high school team). He decided that was what he wanted when it was time for a new bat. He has been swinging mostly Demarinis up until this point, but my son loves this bat and will probably stay with the Velo.
Cons: Really none to note so far... except that everyone wants to use it now.
King of Pop Al player
Pros: -Great pop/power -Nice sweet spot -Good balance -Good price
Cons: -Loses pop over course of a season
THE BAT Woody player
Pros: massive pop, feels great coming off the bat.
Cons: some vibration
2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BBRVB Luke N player
Pros: Very Smooth Good Feel
Cons: None
Great Swing Weight Sooner Dad parent
Pros: Swing Weight of the VELO BBCOR is noticeably less than the CF-6 it's replacing. So much so, that he was able to move up an inch in length without losing bat speed. Ground shipping was amazingly fast. Price was the lowest anywhere. I couldn't be happier about the experience.
Cons: He hasn't hit with it yet, but none so far.
Not a good bat Khaosman16 player
Pros: This bat has amazing pop to it.
Cons: If you are a hitter I would not recamend this bat it dented in 15 days it was pathetic I was soo mad this bat is an awful bat do not get this bat if you hit the ball hard
Continued great product line Luke player
Pros: Great pop, evenly balanced. This is my 3rd Velo (2012, 2014, and 1015 models) and still very happy with performance.
Cons: 2016 model in half inch lengths looks very cool, may have to spring for one
great bat!!! cooper player
Pros: love this bat! best feel of any bat ive ever had. balanced, with great control and pop!
Cons: none so far.
Best bat I have ever had! Tommy Mortallaro player
Pros: Light weight great feel. The day I got my bat I went to the cages and fell in love with it.
Cons: None
its solid tommy player
Pros: balanced, solid
Cons: just doesnt have wow factor for $250-300 bucks
best bat on the market chris player
Pros: great bat for any hitter, power or contact, the ball flies of the bat. Dont pay attention to these fools saying you should just get a composite. if you like the one piece feel and like a bat with a lot of pop, pick this bat up. Its so evenly balanced and it just makes for a really nice swing.
Cons: stings a little in colder temps
Rawlings bbcor Blake player
Pros: Has a lot of pop when somebody is pitching
Cons: No pop on the tee or soft toss
Not worth the extra $$ for alloy BBall CLE player
Pros: Grip, Sound, workmanship
Cons: Not the best alloy BBCOR out there. Omaha 515 and 516 are better and closer to spec'd weight. My bat was 2 oz over. Not sure why a premium over other alloys including the 5150. Don't buy into the fast swing mantra, Omaha's, Easton alloys and Maruccis swing lighter or just as light.
awesome lopey lope coach
Pros: Great pop.
Cons: Loud
Rawlings Velo Rocks the Ball Austin Short player

Cons: NONE!

Pros: acts like a wood bat has ALOT of pop extremely balanced
Cons: Pretty loud

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
