Bat Spotlight: Miken Freak Patriot Slowpitch Softball Bat

The Miken Freak Patriot has been praised as a great slowpitch softball bat, but it has an even greater cause. Miken created the Freak Patriot softball bat in an effort to honor, support, and bring awareness to the servicemen and servicewomen who have sacrificed so much for our country. To show their support, Miken partnered with K9s For Warriors  and The Heroes Mission. A portion of the proceeds from each sale of the Miken Patriot (including those sold on JustBats) will be donated to each of these two altruistic foundations.

As Miken's values align with JustBats, we wanted to highlight the two foundations the Freak Patriot helps.

K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service dogs to veterans who are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries, and sexual trauma as a result of their military service. It is their goal to empower veterans and provide companions that will help with the difficult process of returning to civilian life with dignity and independence.  

The Heroes Mission was established to support those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the freedom of others. Through volunteer fundraising efforts and partnerships with organizations who support the cause (such as Miken), they are able to provide direct assistance to those in need.

The slowpitch softball bat that is helping raise awareness and funds for these two causes, the Miken Freak Patriot. For the 2016 season, the Patriot was a very highly reviewed USSSA slowpitch softball bat that was offered in a balanced version and a maxload version. Here is what players had to say about them:
