Make this season your strongest ever with this Louisville Slugger Meta bat. The sophisticated three-piece design gives the bat the feel of a rigid one-piece, with the comfort and stability of a hybrid. This gives both power hitters and more all-around utility men the tool wreak havoc on the opponent's defense.
Bat Benefits
Re-engineered using Louisville's patented 3FX Connection System, this Meta bat is designed for big contact and big power. As a two-piece bat, you can expect big, soaring shots deep toward the fences without the frustrating and painful sting. This design, coupled with the Premium Pro LS Comfort Grip gives the hands total security. And with a -3 drop weight, you can be sure that this beast of a bat carries through that strike zone with serious vengeance. The barrel itself is composed of Louisville's EKO Composite Alloy. This gives the bat good balance and a large barrel. It also provides one of the sweetest popping sounds on contact, giving extra satisfaction to a strong base hit. And with the new RTX end cap design, the barrel is maximized for performance and swing speed.

Snapped in half Boris J. Wigglepumpser Parent
Pros: I saved up money to buy this bat for my 16 year old because I thought it would be worth it. It felt great and had pop.
Cons: His friend swung the bat and it snapped in half. I hope I just got a defective model.
This bat's decertification is disappointing Seattle BB coach Coach
Pros: Amazing pop out of the wrapper. Unfortunately for those of us who purchased the 33" version, that pop was illegal.
Cons: No bat purchase at this price level should lead to decertification. That left our 16-year old slugger hanging during high school tryouts with no bat to use. We are incredibly disappointed in this product.
Amazing Elijah Fernandez Player
Pros: This bag gives so much confidence. Easily the best bat on the market
Cons: • price • banned 33 • only 2 doubles and a hr in the first game
Wowsers Coach connie Coach

Cons: It banned for most people
DONT BUY jack Player

Louisville Meta Prime Robert Newberg Player
Pros: It feels good. Pretty light. I would suggest a bigger size. It has a little bit faster bat speed with this bat. Very balanced, decent quality.
Cons: The pop is kind of dead, comes off decently hot. Not really worth $500 and not the bat i was looking for.
Son loves this bat!@ Tracy Daniel Parent
Pros: This bat gives my son that is already a good hitter extra confidence at the bat and that's priceless for me.
Cons: Expensive
NCAA Jack Player

Cons: Do not buy this bat if you play in NCAA! Was just made illegal for 2020 season
Attention College Athletes Anonymous Player

I became a believer. Jeff Parent
Pros: So my son had the 2019 Quatro pro and loved it. It's a great bat and when it broke he was a little sad. I gave him the option of getting any bat he wanted including the Meta and he was determined that he loved the Quatro and that was all he would swing. So I got him a new one. It came on a Friday and we were off to go hit. We stopped at a "play it again sports" to pick up a grip and my son saw they had rental demos of the Meta. He asked to rent one for the day "just to see what the hype was about". Get to the cage.....place a ball on the tee.....he takes a good first swing with the Meta....catches barrel and hits a rocket. The look on his face said it all but of course....the words soon came after....."I need this bat". He gave up on his beloved Quatro with one swing. I kinda felt the same way after I took a few swings too. The thing is impressive. So Quatro went to eBay and a new Meta is in the bag. They got us too. This bat is as good as the marketing says it is.
Cons: Just the ridiculous price. But at this point I'm numb to bat prices so 500 doesn't even seen that bad.
Awesome bat Justin Player
Pros: This bat is worth $500 it’s a tank if you get this bat it will guarantee you 5 more exit velo.
Cons: the grip is kind of thick
Louisville meta prime Brayden Player

Great bat Nothing Player
Pros: It has great pop
Cons: The exact same as the 2019 model just a different color
Not if it cool outside Brian Coach
Pros: Great bad when is warm and inside. My son loves the feel and swing of it.
Cons: I wouldn't use it in the fall or if it's cool outside, little different feel and not much pop when cold but great bat when warmer
Fantastic bat Brandon Player
Pros: Very similar to last years bat but just a bit better than last year and a bigger barrel. If you’re looking for a good bat this is the one
Cons: No cons
By far best BBCOR. Diego M Player
Pros: It is incredible hot. When you hit it, it just seems as if the ball jumps off your bat. This bat is worth more than 500 in my opinion. It is the best BBCOR bat on the market and will be for a very long time.
Cons: None.
So Good So Far Jeff Jones Parent
Pros: Good job LS. Good pop, large sweet spot. Great colors. Bought it for fall season. Has been great so far.
Cons: High price. If you can afford the swag its good but there are great bats for less.
Awesome Chris Miller Parent
Pros: My son has the Cat8 and the Meta. Cat8 has good pop but nothing compared to the Meta. Sweet spot is at least three times as big on the Meta and when he connects, the ball takes off.
Cons: none
Meta Prime Jason Parent
Pros: This bat is sweet!
Cons: None
2020 meta Kbat Parent
Pros: This bat has tons of pop. Balanced swing. If your debating to get it because of the cost, just get it. It's expensive but best on the market.
Cons: Price is crazy.
SICK POP! MARK E RICHARDSON Coach
Pros: Best bat ever when squared up and driven!
Cons: NONE
This Bat Defines, Ryan Coach
Pros: This bat's pop is second to none, and has a giant sweet spot. Hot right out of the wrapper and even better after break in. It is well balanced, feels great in your hands, and vibration is none existent. I have coached travel ball for over a decade, have two sons, 16 and 13 years old, and have seen all the hot bats, ie: Orange Easton XL circa 15, Green Zen Circa 16, etc., but those bats were in the drop -5 categories for USSSA senior leagues. Frankly, I was a coach that believed composite bats are great for senior league, but I thought for BBCOR, one piece alloys were the route to go. I then spent the last year of high school varsity ball and then travel this past summer watching kids use the Meta 19 model, and that bat preformed exceptionally well. When I heard the 2020 Meta was basically the same bat, I finally broke down and bought one for my 16 year old. After taking it to the cage the first time I was sold. This bat is incredible!!!
Cons: The price, but refer to the title of the review. I'm not one to fork over this kind of money for a bat, but it is simply the best on the market.
Well worth it Coach V Coach
Pros: BOTTOM LINE- the bat performs well and increases the hitter's confidence. The bat is sick. I have an 18 YO and a 15 YO sharing this bat. Each of them love it and as the regular BP "pitching machine" I can tell you my calibrated eye-ball can clearly see that the exit velocity off this bat is higher than any other BBCOR bat we have used (we have also run pocket radar against this bat and the others we have, and this bat's exit velocity out performs the other bats). This extra speed results in about 10-20 extra feet on average. Although i have seen as much as a 50 feet increase- using this bat, the batter can simply crush the ball. Now, IMO this $500 bat will not turn a $1 swing into a bomb dropper, but it will definitely perform as well as you can push it.
Cons: the bat is expensive, but if you are looking for something that will perform (or out perform) as well as you can- the bat is worth it .
Bomb Dropper Bryson Player
Pros: Very balanced swinging bat with tons of pop. By far the hottest-3
Cons: Non
Overall Great Bat Mason S Player
Pros: The bat has a great amount of pop. The tape on the bat is very nice and sticky. The colors look even better in person than in pictures. Very nice sound, almost identical to the 2019 Meta Prime.
Cons: No cons to the bat yet.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
