Description
DeMarini has done it again - an insane amount of tech comes together to create their most powerful, lightest-swinging bat - the CF8. Like all of the CF Series designs, this one is a two-piece fully composite model that utilizes the Half & Half technology that helped put DeMarini on the map. But this bat just keeps getting better! In the barrel, you've got their newest Paradox +Plus Composite material. This premier blend of carbon fibers gives you Hot Out of the Wrapper Performance that only continues to improve each swing. The CF Series bats have always been extremely light-swinging, but this year, DeMarini was able to extend the barrel profile for their longest fully-comp sweet spot ever. Another advancement from last year's design lies in the addition of the D-Fusion 2.0 Handle. This upgrade offers a stiffer flex for max energy transfer to the baseball, but it simultaneously reduces any negative vibration - freeing hitters up to swing for the fences every time they step in the box. Anyone who has said "You can't have it all." obviously hasn't swung the DeMarini CF8.
The DeMarini CF8 BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXCFC features a -3 length to weight ratio, BBCOR Certification for High School and Collegiate Play, and it is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: The bat itself looks cool and has a nice feel to the bat.
Cons: This bat so far has no pop. The stock grip ripped after a week and must be replaced. The bat vibrates it seems even if you hit it on the barrel. Waste of $350

CF8 IS GR8 Lelan Lewis player
Pros: Now obviously this bat is the highest priced BBCOR bat on the market currently....but when I bought this bat last offseason and used it the first time I fell in love with it... The bat has very good pop when you hit it on the barrel. Can't wait to see what I can do with it this summer.
Cons: The one thing about this bat is the grip, it is way too skinny, go out and buy yourself a thicker lizard skin, and you're set for 2+ years.

One Awesome Bat (OAB) I Love This Game parent
Pros: My son was stoked when he received this bat. After using this bat he loves the feel, pop, balance and distribution of the sweet spot. He is hitting the ball farther and more consistently. He also has the 2016 Demarini VooDoo RAW and he declares that this bat is hands down the best!
Cons: None. This is definitely a hitters bat!
Demarini CF8 BBCOR Gage Thomas player
Pros: Bought this for our son to play high school and show case baseball. He loves the bats...says the ball pops off the bats excellent. Of all the bats out Demarini has been the best product for him. He normally cracks his bats. But we've had great luck with Demarini standing the test of time.
Cons: The grip isnt very durable...so we end up replacing it when we get a bat due to the history. They are a bit pricey.
Terrible Bat Scott player
Pros: None
Cons: No pop, bat is a piece of junk. Waste of $450.

DeMarini 2016 CF8 Bat Review Angelo coach
Pros: Sleek look, well mid load to the barrel, can hear the difference right off the barrel. Our team has been hitting nothing but liners. They can't get enough reps with this bat. Been a Louisville guy my whole career, But, there is no looking back now. DeMarini did me good !!!!
Cons:
Love this bat! Cody player
Pros: Balanced Swing. Feels Light. Little Vibration. Great pop so far, and still breaking it in. Has become a team favorite.
Cons: Small Grip. Price
CF8 N/A player
Pros: Lightweight feel, great pop when you hit the sweet spot. Barrel is very large. Nice look, feels very even throughout the bat. Seems sturdy, break it in right though. Swings nicely and the ball comes off the bad very well. Easy to hit an inside pitch with the bat as well as outside. The light weight of the bat makes it easy to get on the inside of the ball on an inside pitch. The barrel length and speed also makes it great when hitting an outside pitch.
Cons: If you don't hit the sweet spot on this thing, you are going to have a bad time. Takes a while to break in, don't expect it to be perfect right out of the box. If you top off a ball or the ball hits near the barrel, it stings a little, but not nearly as bad as the CF7 was last year.
Must Read Dingers and Stingers player
Pros: This bat looks and smells delicious. I also hit 4 home runs in my firs game having it.
Cons: I did have to sell my kidney and my house to buy this bat and to have it break on the 3rd day I recived it I was kind of disapoonted.
CF8 Caleb player
Pros: Great Pop. Game Ready out the box. Continually getting hotter.
Cons: Smaller Grip harder to use for people with large hands.

Amazing bat GOAT gang player
Pros: This bat is amazing. The look of it is gorgeous, it has amazing pop, and has absolutely no vibration. I was a big Easton bat fan until for Christmas I got this bat. In the cages it's a monster during games it's a monster. You are practically gonna get on base every time when you use this bat unless you get struck out or they catch your long hit ball.
Cons: Absolutely nothing at the moment

a good bat does make a difference G Man parent
Pros: This bat delivers huge pop and has increased the distance of hits by at least 40 to 50 feet. The infielders get nervous when grounders are hit...increased power!
Cons: Price is a little much
great pop Nick W player
Pros: Has tremendous pop if you hit it on the sweet spot and looks cool. Feels nice when you make solid contact.
Cons: Sometimes it doesnt hit too well if you dont get it on the sweet spot.
Great Bat Jake player
Pros: Best looking bat with great overall quality. Lots of pop off of the massive barrel. No vibration, even when you hit it near the handle. Very light swing weight which is perfect for getting to those inside pitches. I have not had this bat long so it is hard to rate the durability, but if it is like the other DeMarini bats that I have had then there should be no problems. This bat is extremely easy to control which gives me confidence going up to the plate.
Cons: None so far

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
