Based on feedback we have received from college players, it appears that hitting mechanics are not weakened by using the Torq handle. If anything, players report squaring up the ball more consistently with their wood bats after using the Torq handle. Preliminary test results support their feedback. Whether the Torq handle actually improves muscle memory has not yet been clinically proven.

With composite barreled adult baseball bats, you will have to spend some time getting them ready to perform at their peak. Generally composite baseball bats are going to need around 150 to 200 hits on them to start performing up to their potential. When breaking in a composite baseball bat, it is important to start off at about 50% power and gradually increase as your swing count rises. Is it normal for the Easton MAKO TORQ to have a rattle sound when you drop it or tap it? I've only had mine for three months and put about 1000 hits on it but it has a major rattle sound. I'm not sure if it is broken or not. ryan

My son has had a MAKO bat for over a year now and hits amazing with hit. However, today we noticed at the end of the top it moves and he can actually twist it around. Sadly, we currently only have this bat stocked in the 34"/31 oz size. However, if you feel that you can handle the 31 oz weight of the 34" option of this MAKO TORQ, I might recommend going with that size.

This Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will be BBCOR .50 certified. It will not be stamped with an "Approved for Pony League" inscription and it will not have USSSA 1.15 BPF certification. This style bat was first built in the fall of 2014 for the 2015 season of play.
