The jury is still out! Don B. player
Pros: This is my first balanced bat after using endloads for the past several years. So far not much pop after about 50 hits and I'm hoping that changes soon, but it does have a nice feel.
Cons: It was not hot out of the wrapper as advertised. Have hit many line drives but the ball does not carry through the gaps as I'm used to and my distance has decreased 50'. May need to go back to my Dudley endloads if this keeps up.
Lots of "Pop" Curt player
Pros: I recently purchased this bat to play at the Senior National Games. The first time that I used the bat, I noticed that my hits were solid and seemed to travel further than normal.
Cons: Have not found anything wrong yet.
long break in piranha#8 player
Pros: The feel is perfect!
Cons: Definitely not hot out of the wrapper. Mine has 100+ swings and it still hasn't loosened up.
incredible bat koppy player
Pros: took the wrapper off this bat right before our senior tourny. unreal. i went 15-17 with 10 HR all over 360+ feet. i bought a 26oz balanced and it swung more like a 25oz. i own both years Dudleys and Adidas bat and this is every bit as good if not better. highly recommend
Cons: swings a little light
A Keeper ! BJ at 70 ! player
Pros: Found very balanced and faster swing and larger sweet spot. Ball carries well with faster speed. Did take batting practice a couple of times with good rated balls only about 125 hits before first game. Very satisfied after first three games. BJ
Cons: None at this time. Good customer service and tracking got the forth day.
Caimanes - WESTON William Stalhuth player
Pros: It's a nice acquisition for our team, actually I was able to hit a ball to the warning track at my first turn. We will give it some weeks and for sure we will be able to hit over the fence. The grip it's great however I added an extra grip of 1.8 mm and it was even better.
Cons: SO far - none!!
Can this bat help a septuagenarian? Craig Tippins player
Pros: Lots of pop right out of the wrapper, as advertised. Balanced and good for hitting to the opposite field. I increased batting distance about 15 %. Good enough to allow me to hit some over the 300 foot fences!
Cons: I would like a thinner handle and flared at the knob.

Does the bat have good lifetime? How does it compare to the Freak Black senior bat? spook
I just started playing softball again after a 10 year break. I'm 46 years old and 5'6" and 190 lbs. I'm currently using a teammates 34/27 oz. Psycho that's a few years old. I'm wanting to purchase my own bat moving forward and was curious if this version of the Freak would be a better overall fit for someone of my age and size. I've thought about buying a more updated Psycho, but I swung a Freak years ago and loved it. I'm strictly a line drive hitter. Joe
I'm just getting back into softball after many years away. Now I'm 60. What's the difference between a slow pitch bat and a senior slow pitch bat? Dan
I play with guys who use BPF 1.21 bats, and currently use a Miken MSU2 (or something like that; a black Miken Ultra) in 28 oz. I am considering this Platinum bat, in 27 oz. It is as "hot," as they say, as the other Mikens? Overall, what would the difference be between the two bats? Albanypark
Why is it discontinued? Biggin
About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.
Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.
The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
