I love Miken's. I have a Freak from a few years back and looks like it's on the way out. I want to get a new Miken, 28oz, balanced, that works well with Clincher balls. That's all we play with here in NYC. Can you recommend one, between $200-$300? Thank you!!!! The Cowman

The 2016 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SYCHBU) could be a nice option. Typically the bats that have had the absolute best performance against the DeBeer Clincher balls are one piece full alloy models such as the Anderson RockeTech and the DeMarini Ultimate Weapon models. Due to the relative light weight of the balls, composite models offering a lot of flex don't tend to hit the ball quite as far as a one piece model such as the Psycho. You could also consider the 2016 Miken Freak 52 Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (52FKBA) as well.

Would this bat be good with the super grey dot 40 cor balls? If not can u recommend a similar balanced bat better suited. Gmorris

The 2016 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SYCHBU) would be ok for use with the Super Grey Dot 40 COR balls. Most manufacturers are making bats for use with softer .52 COR balls, so there really aren't a lot choices to choose from that would be able to withstand the use of the harder .40 COR balls. This bat will still perform extremely well with the Super Grey balls, however, there is a higher risk of durability issues that can occur. This is covered under a 12 month manufacturer warranty, so if it were to become damaged or defective within a year of purchase, you can send it back to Miken for the warranty replacement.

The 2016 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SYCHBU) does feature the NSA 2012 stamp on the taper area of the bat. It is approved for USSSA, NSA and ISA play.
