Rawlings Icon BBCOR Baseball Bat: RBB3I3
Force your way into the Record Books and become a legend with the Rawlings Icon BBCOR Bat!
Bat Benefits
This offseason Rawlings went back to the drawing boards with one goal in mind: To build a legendary two-piece composite BBCOR bat. Which is exactly what they did in delivering the Icon!
The Icon utilizes Rawlings’ In/Tense Carbon Composite that is seamlessly constructed to maximize barrel performance while maintaining optimal stiffness and increasing the trampoline effect. It will also feature Zero Loss Energy Technology that achieves added durability and stiffness due to the smooth transition provided by the Zero Loss Collar.
Additionally, the Icon is designed with Rawlings’ Tuned Balanced Performance which offers an even swing weight that adjusts to each batter’s unique swing style!
This drop 3, BBCOR bat will be an excellent choice for both power and contact hitters. The lightweight feel will make it great for the batter who is a contact hitter and needs the bat to help place the ball all over the field in order to be successful. Meanwhile, power hitters will love it as the stiff connection will make them feel as though all of their power is getting put into each and every hit. Lastly, every hitter will love it for the super long barrel length which ultimately leads to a large, explosive sweet spot.
Warranty
In order to establish themselves as a heavy-hitter within the bat industry, Rawlings knows that they need to make a commitment to helping their customers when they are in need. Because of that need for a commitment to customers, Rawlings extends a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty period on this bat. If you get this bat and you are noticing issues on it within a year from the date of purchase, please let the Bat Experts know. They will get you the information for beginning the warranty return process with Rawlings.

This 34” performed extremely well Jamie H Coach
Pros: One of the best I had seen from the first swing
Cons: Unfortunately, it has now cracked and being returned
I even feel in love with the bat Parent
Pros: So me and my son is pretty much in the break in period an had a little BP today. The pop in the bat is amazing. I took a few cuts with it I don’t like that is a lil top heavy but other than that is great
Cons: A lil to top heavy
My opinion Player
Pros: Really good bat overall, but, I feel like you just don't get enough feedback
Cons: None
great bat Matthew Orozco Player
Pros: Ive had this bat for over 6 months and I have nothing but good things to say about this bat, it has a great sweet spot, very thin handle, and great mobility, it has great durability, honestly a great choice for a highschool player .
Cons: thin handle
Good bat with some good pop Charlie Fuson Player
Pros: Good pop
Cons: Top end heavy
Great bat!! Shannon Long Coach

Cons: Took so long to get
Good bat Asher Prater Player
Pros: Great feel on the hands, huge sweet spot, great pop, durable.
Cons: Not super great pop off of the end of the bat; handle is pretty thin, needs extra grip on top of stock grip.
Crack Bat Logan Player
Pros: - Tons of pop - Nice swing weight - Very forgiving - HUGE sweat spot - Verry "whippy"
Cons: - Thin and slick grip (easily fixable) - Connection piece of the bat is prone to breaking (If you manage to catch a baseball on it)
Icon Matt Player
Pros: Great pop does amazing on mis-hits and Hits dingers
Cons: No cons at all
best bat ever Player
Pros: great pop by far the best bat I have swung
Cons: no cons
Best composite on the ,market for bbcor. Gavin Player
Pros: -Great feel -Great pop for a bbcor -Nice grip tape (won't need to replace) -Great for a power hitter (slightly end loadad)
Cons: -If you are not a power hitter this might not be the bat for you (I would recommend the atlas if this applies to you)
Crippled Gary Player
Pros: My buddy used my new bat because I broke my arm. He hit a ball like 450 into a 50 mph wind so it only went about 220 but found some grass. If he can hit it into the grass you know this thing has pop.
Cons: I can't use it for another week.
Amazing bat DJ Benker Player
Pros: I got a 34” and it felt like I was swinging a 32” bat. It is so light to swing and the sweet spot is amazing. When you hit the sweet spot it’s like you don’t feel anything. It doesn’t ring you up either if you hit the end or by the hands. The bat is just overall amazing and if you’re looking to step up your game then I highly recommend this bat.
Cons: Literally no cons whatsoever
Really liked it. Jaime Saavedra Player
Pros: The pop is really good. There is almost no feedback on jam shots and feels good off the end of the bat. The barrel is really big and feels amazing.
Cons: The bat itself is really expensive and you should replace the grip tape.
satisfied with the Bat Rafael Gonzales Coach
Pros: has very good pop only used it for 3 games so far came out strong
Cons: bat is little bit to much
top 5 bat Jackson Emerick Player
Pros: great feel on the barrel. good size of barrel. better than the Quantro two-piece. pop is ridiculous. great bat for a mid-to-experienced player. would not let a new player buy it just to start.
Cons: knob is sorta a problem. have seen them pop off. rarely but will happen if abused.
best purchase I've made this year peyton buckley Player
Pros: I've never hit a home run owned this bat for two days hit my first one over the fence bat is amazing
Cons: none yet
Rawlings customer service terrible Edward Parent
Pros: He liked the feel
Cons: Son had this bat for 1 month and end cap flew off. Rawlings advised it was a problem with the initial batch( heard this before). Sent bat in and they are glueing the end cap back on. Brand new bat and solution is glue it back together. Son is at college without it waiting for repair to be shipped back. If I knew they were going to just glue it back on I would have done it myself. Never will we buy another Rawlings
Bombs Jason Parent
Pros: Very balanced and has a lot of pop
Cons: None

Rawlings Icon Joe Parent
Pros: Tremendous Bat, best bat out there. Amazing pop.
Cons: No cons
Icon is Legit! AE Player
Pros: I've been able to swing the goods, missle 2, omaha, voodoo, atlas, bonesaber, cat x, and 2022 meta for some pretty good time now and here is my real review. The icon is the composite equivalent of the goods. It has a huge barrel, and the pop is crazy. However it is heavier than most of the top 1 piece alloys, and to me, it feels a decent amount lighter than the goods but a little heavier than the atlas. (almost like a light endload if that makes sense.) This bat feels great when you square balls up and it gets a little better once broken in. Its almost addicting since the bat feels so smooth and theres just so much barrel. Personally, I will probably keep using the voodoo or the bonesaber until I can more confidently get the Icon around on faster pitching. Still definitely reccomend this bat!
Cons: Heard there might be durability issues + bat is not cheap + grip is a little thin. If its out of stock, its not the end of the world. There are a lot of other bats that are still very good!
4 week owner Bryce Edick Player
Pros: It looks great. Took only around 100 swings to get a good break in.
Cons: Group was slightly small. Added .5 Vulcan grip.
Broke in 6 games Jacob Player
Pros: No vibration on bat Great sound
Cons: End cap broke in a week of having it, not worth the 500$ it is
Solid hitting!! Jay Parent
Pros: Great pop and swing weight!! Son has had some solid hit and a monster bomb since he started playing with the icon.
Cons: Worried it will break.
Best 2023 BBCOR composite bat Mike Coach
Pros: Hot out of the box and getting hotter after every hit.
Cons: Handle a little skinny.
Dont buy Connor G Player
Pros: When bat was not broken it feels good and has good pop
Cons: It will not last and rawlings warranty process is a nightmare. End Cap popped off within first 500 swings on a $500 bat. Buy a different bat.
Icon slugger Andrew Parent
Pros: This bat is all that it’s been hyped up about
Cons: Bat grip it comes with way to thin
great bat tom Parent
Pros: best bat bbcor bat you can buy right now
Cons: very ugly and grip is to thin but very easy to fix
Huge Sweet Spot Matthew Player
Pros: The exit velo of this thing is VERY close to my son's Voodoo, but what this bat has is an incredible sweet spot. Hit the ball off the hands and you'll only know by the sound. The ball still flies and there is no feedback on the hands. Surprisingly even if you hit the ball off the end, it goes similar to Voodoos and the Goods which we're not used to for composite bats.
Cons: Pretty heavy. Way more heavy than the Voodoo, and even the Atlas. The Varsity 3-hole hitter on our high school baseball team was struggling to get this bat around, but a power hitter has no problem. Very thin grip, but not so thin it would have bothered us without all of the reviews commenting on it.
The best bat Josh Player
Pros: The best BBCOR bat has great pop
Cons: the grip is to thin but just get 1.8 mm grip
Glowstick 2.0 AS Coach
Pros: Great pop out of the wrapper!! Sweet spot large and contact sounds and feels great!
Cons: Grip is too thin. .5mm grip does the trick!
Simply the best Cole Player
Pros: Awesome! Best BBCOR out there!
Cons: None

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
